Than you should come to Kyrgyzstan inhabited with more than 335 species of birds. Such birds as saker falcon (Falco cherrug), hawks (Accipitrinae), golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) are often used by local people in hunting for foxes, hares, ducks and pheasant. These graceful birds have been the nomad’s helpers since the ancient times.
However such species as saker falcon (Falco cherrug), white (Ciconia ciconia) and black stork (Ciconia nigra) and mountain goose are listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan since 1986. There are almost 33 other species being on the verge of extinction. Unfortunately, the number of dying out species is increasing, it reached 57 birds species in 2007. Take your chance! You can still see them!
Destination: Natural park of Ala- Archa, Chong Kemin – Issyk-Kul, Son- Kul and the alpine Susamyr valley, the Toktogul water reservoir, the neighborhoods of Bishkek – only 1380 km radial departures with the birds observation area of 620 km. Total 2000 km.
Please, be aware that the possibility of birds seeing depend on season of the year, altitude and other natural conditions.
Therefore it is high variable but always very exciting and amazing to see!
Day 1: (50 km)
Arrival is to Bishkek city – the capital of Kyrgyz Republic, accommodation in the hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek – Ala-Archa (80 km)
Breakfast, Transfer to the Natural park of Ala- Archa, accommodation in guest house “Ala-Archa”. Natural park is located 40 km away from Bishkek city. In the park one can escape from the urban fuss and noise, enjoy the splendid forms of mountain summits and promptly flowing streams and rivers. Ala- Archa is foothill and furnace zone. Travelers have the opportunity to walk to the waterfall, and see birds.
Picnic near to the waterfall. All day walking will take about 5-6 hours.

AM:07:00 – get up, breakfast, packing, passing with the observation stops for birds seeing across the alpine lake. Dinner in Kochkor village, a good chance to know the locals’ traditions and customs. Son- Kul is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan. It is located on the height of 3016m above sea level. Lake is surrounded by mountain ranges. Alpine pastures surround the lake. In the summer period hundreds of yurts locate on its shores. Overnight stay is in yurt camp, dinner, acquaintance with nomads’ life.
Day 7: Son- Kul
AM: 07:00 – get up, breakfast, preparations. After breakfast: excursion to the petroglyphs, birds’ observation, and picnic in the open air. Back to the yurt camp. Afternoon horses games. Overnight is in the Yurt Camp.

AM: 07:00 – get up, breakfast in the cafe, packing. 09.00 – passing to Bishkek — 5-6 hours. On the way will stop in the steppe zone of Chuy valley (not far from Bishkek). Possibility to see an eagle owl (Buba-Buba) and steppe birds. Arrival in Bishkek, arrangement in the hotel. Supper.
