Many of our guest know and many guest are about to realize that small cozy and very interesting ethnographic museum has been working in Bishkek for last few years. This museum is located in “Raritet” book shop on the central square Ala-Too (Pushkin str. 78). This museum presents itself as a collection of exhibits that introduce visitors to the life and culture of nomadic Kyrgyz people. Here you can find household items, clothing of a daily life of nomads and antiquities that was found during excavations in the regions of Kyrgyzstan. You would be very surprised to get acquainted with the musical instruments and arts of ancient nomads. Among other things in the museum you can purchase Kyrgyz souvenirs and books about Kyrgyzstan.
A visit to the ethnographic museum is free, which is especially important regarding the State National History Museum closure for reconstruction this year.
